About the Role
The Mbombela: Vegetable Hydroponic Manager position at Dante Group Ltd is a key role in overseeing the hydroponic vegetable production operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing staff, working with various hydroponic systems, and providing expertise in crop production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the hydroponic vegetable production facility
- Supervise and train staff to ensure efficient production and quality control
- Monitor and optimize system performance, including NFT, DWC, Dutch buckets, and vertical hydroponics
- Implement fertigation and CEA (controlled environment agriculture) practices as needed
- Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and crop yields
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Plant Production, or similar
- Additional certification in hydroponics, greenhouse management, fertigation, or CEA (advantage)
