About the Role

The President Hotel is seeking a skilled and hands-on Hotel Maintenance Foreman to lead and coordinate our maintenance team. As part of our operational excellence, we are committed to quality, safety, and guest satisfaction within a large, high-volume hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign daily maintenance tasks and conduct team briefings
  • Monitor technician performance and ensure adherence to hotel operational standards
  • Manage attendance, conduct, and performance in line with company policy
  • Mentor junior staff and support ongoing skills development
  • Guide technicians in diagnosing and resolving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and manage reactive maintenance tasks
  • Ensure timely follow-up and job closure within the CMMS system
  • Enforce health and safety regulations and hotel compliance standards
  • Coordinate procurement requirements with the Chief Engineer
  • Maintain professional conduct and discretion in guest areas

Requirements

  • Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing (Red Seal preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Experience within a hotel, luxury property, hospital, or large commercial facility environment
  • Strong technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems

  • Valid South African ID (CV must be fully updated prior to submission)
