About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional passionate about delivering world-class guest experiences while supporting smooth hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Hotel Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Manage and coordinate all front-of-house departments, including reception, housekeeping, and guest services.
- Supervise staff to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction at all touchpoints.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with financial administration, including budgeting, stock control, and payroll processing.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance throughout the property.
- Contribute to team training, development, and performance management.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
- Assist in planning and coordinating hotel events, functions, and VIP experiences.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a luxury hospitality environment.
- Hospitality management qualification preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Strong administrative, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel property management systems.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month (Negotiable DOE).
