About the Role

We are seeking an experienced O&M Technician to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our solar PV and battery storage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor plant performance using SCADA and identify faults
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on solar PV, BESS, generators and LV/MV systems
  • Troubleshoot underperformance and restore uptime quickly
  • Compile maintenance and performance reports
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site operators and clients
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts when required

Requirements

  • Minimum 35 years experience in solar PV and battery storage systems
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel to sites

Qualifications

  • Trade Test: Electrical or National Diploma Electrical Wiremans License (Advantageous)
