About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary operations at a prestigious luxury safari lodge in the Kruger National Park. As a live-in role, this position is ideal for a seasoned chef with experience managing a high-performing kitchen team in a 5-star lodge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Supervise, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to maintain high standards and foster teamwork
- Oversee menu planning, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- Manage stock, inventory, and food cost control
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain a hands-on presence in the kitchen while supervising overall operations
