About the Role
The President Hotel is seeking an energetic and relationship-driven Sales Manager to grow leisure business through tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, and wholesale partners. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a central role in shaping our market presence and representing a hotel experience that people genuinely want to book, return to, and recommend.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive leisure revenue through tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, and wholesale partners
- Identify and unlock new local and international business opportunities
- Keep The President Hotel visible, relevant, and desirable in key source markets
- Host engaging site inspections that showcase the hotel’s rooms, views, and personality
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, workshops, and industry events
- Host familiarisation trips and educational visits that turn partners into advocates
- Build strong, long-term relationships across the travel trade
- Negotiate and manage STO contracts and preferred agreements
- Work closely with Revenue to align commercial decisions with demand and strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing movements
- Collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, and Marketing teams to align sales activity
- Share market insight that helps shape campaigns, promotions, and positioning
Requirements
- Qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Sales, or Marketing
- Proven experience in hotel sales (leisure-focused preferred)
- Strong understanding of the Cape Town tourism and travel trade market
- Existing relationships with tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, or wholesalers (advantageous)
