? ?? ??????????? ??????????? is partnering with a 5* Safari Game Lodge in KZN to recruit an experienced & energetic ???? ????. The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in supporting both the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the lodge kitchen. This position is responsible for supervising kitchen staff, assisting in menu execution, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and contributing to an exceptional luxury dining experience for guests. A food portfolio must be submitted with your application that clearly displays your creativity, innovation, and attention to detail. (All images will be checked to ensure ownership) Requirements Strong Culinary Expertise: Proficient in both modern and traditional cuisine, with excellent plating skills, portion control, and attention to detail. Luxury Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in a dynamic, high-pressure luxury environment, preferably within a Big 5 safari lodge catering to international guests and private safari experiences. Leadership & Team Collaboration: Ability to support, guide, and supervise kitchen staff while contributing positively to a team-oriented environment. Guest-Centric Approach: Strong understanding of guest expectations with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Problem-Solving Ability: Capable of addressing operational and service challenges efficiently and professionally. Excellent Organization & Time Management: Able to prioritise tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting. Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable working in a remote lodge environment and flexible with long hours, weekends, and public holidays. Health, Safety & Sustainability Awareness: Sound knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety regulations, and environmentally responsible kitchen practices. Professional Stability: Stable employment history with contactable references. Growth-Oriented Mindset: Exposure to high-end culinary operations with a commitment to ongoing professional development. ????????????
