About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Draughtsman to join a dynamic team in the commercial and industrial property sector. The role involves producing detailed technical drawings and plans for multi-storey commercial, retail, and industrial buildings, with a strong focus on GLA documentation and SAPOA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections and measurements of existing and newly acquired properties.
- Prepare accurate As-built drawings and 3D Revit models based on site data and available documentation.
- Verify and update building plans, models, and tenant allocations.
- Generate GLA layout drawings in accordance with SAPOA Guidelines.
- Compile and maintain GLA spreadsheets using data from layout drawings.
- Update historic GLA data into current spreadsheet formats.
- Organise and maintain GLA drawings and spreadsheets for internal use.
- Respond to internal queries regarding building GLA information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years experience as a draughtsman in the architectural industry.
- Minimum 3 years experience in generating GLA and GBA documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Preferably familiar with SAPOA Guidelines and GLA measurement methods.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
