About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Metallurgist to join our team in Angola. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and recovery of diamonds, while also contributing to the development and implementation of the production budget. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct process audits in compliance with quality standards, policies/procedures & legal requirements
- Monitor quality standards within the plant
- Assist with the development and implementation of the production budget
- Human Resources Development to improve individual performance and ensure succession planning, training and skills transfer of relevant personnel
- Submit and motivate capital/strategic expenses to the Production Superintendent
- Conduct metallurgical test work and prepare applicable reports to ensure the efficient processing and recovery of diamonds
- Ensure that all audit procedures are conducted efficiently
- Achieve process efficiency through effective roll-out of best practices
- Generating technical reports (professionally)
- Compliance with applicable statutory requirements and policies/procedures
- Manage process quality control
- Ensure quality conformance for the process plant and recovery
- Collaborate with our diverse team to maximise efficiency and productivity
Requirements
- Degree in Metallurgical Engineering
- Management Degree
- 5 years of DMS and Recovery or separation technology environment experience
- Of which at least 3 years on senior management level
- Thorough knowledge of processing plants and DMS and Recovery circuits
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sector
