About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Depot Manager to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our depot operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of large-scale transport services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage / control depot operations
- Check area daily
- Evaluate driver behaviour
- Regular route and road checks
- Review route reports
- Determine fares and fare grids
- Update schedules and rosters
- Monitor functionality of ticketing systems
- Vehicle maintenance servicing / preventative maintenance of vehicles
- Report road conditions to local government
- Health & Safety oversee H&S audits
- Ensure adherence to road traffic regulations and passenger safety
- Reviewing of vehicles roadworthy
- Contracted services and service development adherence to private hire targets and SLAs
- Stakeholder management productive relationships with stakeholders
- Prioritize communication
- Reporting concise reporting; operational plan reports; oversight to the development of reports / policies / procedures
Requirements
- NQF 7 (Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma) qualification in Operations Management or Transportation Management
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in Operations or Transportation Management
- 4 years experience at management/supervisory level
- Heavy Duty Motor Vehicle Drivers License
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience in management of large-scale transport operations which include contracted services
