About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team in Bellville, South Africa. As a Web Developer at our digital marketing agency, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising WordPress websites across multiple projects. You will work closely with internal teams, collaborate with designers, copywriters, account managers, and digital marketers to deliver high-quality website projects that meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain WordPress websites using themes, plugins, Elementor, WooCommerce, and custom development where required.
- Convert approved designs, wireframes, or Figma layouts into responsive WordPress websites.
- Create landing pages, service pages, blog layouts, product pages, and other website sections.
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, fast-loading, and cross-browser compatible.
- Set up and configure WordPress themes, child themes, plugins, menus, forms, and page templates.
- Perform regular website updates, plugin updates, theme updates, and content changes.
- Troubleshoot and fix website bugs, layout issues, plugin conflicts, and performance problems.
- Assist with website backups, security checks, and general site health monitoring.
- Improve website speed, usability, and technical performance where needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience building websites in WordPress.
- Strong experience with Elementor or similar WordPress page builders.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Experience with WooCommerce will be advantageous.
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Basic knowledge of technical SEO and website performance optimisation.
- Ability to troubleshoot WordPress errors, plugin conflicts, and layout issues.
- Experience working with hosting environments, domains, DNS, cPanel, or similar platforms.

Salary: Up to R28 000 per month, depending on experience.
