About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and knowledgeable Field Guide to join a luxury safari lodge in the Sabi Sands. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wildlife, conservation, and providing exceptional guest experiences in a Big 5 environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safe and informative game drives and walking safaris
- Interpret and share knowledge of wildlife, ecology, and conservation with guests
- Ensure guest safety at all times and adhere to camp protocols
- Assist with vehicle maintenance, safari equipment, and camp operations as required
- Contribute to delivering seamless, luxury guest experiences
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ prior experience guiding in a Big 5 environment
CATHSSETA NQF 4 Nature Site Guide Qualification
CATHSSETA NQF 2 View Potentially Dangerous Animals (VPDA) Registered with the National Department of Tourism (NDT) in Mpumalanga
Valid driver’s licence with PDP
First Aid Certification (minimum Level 1)
SAPS Competency Certificate
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: CATHSSETA NQF 4 Nature Site Guide Qualification, CATHSSETA NQF 2 View Potentially Dangerous Animals (VPDA) Registered with the National Department of Tourism (NDT) in Mpumalanga
