About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems for large-scale construction projects, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of mechanical equipment and systems throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and approve mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including piping, pumps, compressors, HVAC, and rotating/static equipment.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, and technical evaluations of mechanical systems.
- Monitor project execution, perform inspections, and ensure adherence to quality assurance and control procedures.
- Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical engineering issues.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure smooth project integration.
- Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and technical documentation for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional Engineering registration/certification (preferred).
- 7+ years of proven work experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in construction projects.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is highly desirable.
