About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, driven, and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our modern and upmarket establishment in Franschhoek. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and controlling front of house and terrace service to ensure exceptional quality of food, drinks, and tapas served during wine tasting sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily operations and manage staff
- Control front of house and terrace service in terms of quality of food, drinks, and tapas
- Work with daily bookings, invoices, emails, and correspondence
- Staff scheduling and meetings to discuss menu highlights, set up requirements, and service standards
- Highly proficient in Point of Sale and Back of House software as well as Excel, Word, and Office
- Proven success and abilities in planning, organizing, and staff management
Requirements
- Passion for food and knowledge of wines, artisan coffee, and 5* service standards
- Experience in procurement/sourcing of hiring of staff and equipment
- Good people skills, resourceful thinker, and innovative worker
- Bubbly and outgoing personality
- Able to deal with the head chef and kitchen team and liaise with all staff
