About the Role
Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced MEP BIM Operator to join their team in Johannesburg. As an MEP BIM Operator, you will be responsible for preparing MEP services drawings and 3D models for projects using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks software.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare MEP services drawings and 3D models for projects in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks software
- Interpret and produce MEP services drawings in AutoCAD and Revit MEP
- Compile and maintain project Drawing Registers for projects
- Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System
- Oversee and ensure correct transfer of design to construction drawings
- Ensure professionalism and quality of all design drawings
- Liaise with other professional team members and BIM operators
- Coordinate MEP services drawings with other disciplines within projects
- Attend MEP services coordination meetings
- Assist the engineering team in developing and communicating project goals and deliverables
- Assess and evaluate project teamwork to ensure successful project completion
- Oversee project production efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in the built environment as a Draughtsperson (MEP Projects)
- AutoCAD 3D Advanced
- AutoCAD Fundamentals
- Revit MEP Essentials
- Navisworks
Qualifications
Grade 12 N6 Engineering (preferably)
