Job Description

Job Purpose Manage and control the incoming deliveries to company. Unloading goods received from incoming trucks. Verify the items received against the company Purchase Order requirements. Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods. Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc. Conduct stock control and pulling of SIVs. Roles & Responsibilities Goods Receiving: Collect and file Works orders in the Works order cabinet in an alphabetical order under supplier. Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt. Inspect goods received from suppliers to ensure they match the company purchase order and supplier invoice / delivery note criteria. (Description and QTY). Report any discrepancies to relevant parties. Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged. Indicate clearly, and pull the delivery note when any incoming goods needs to go next to an outside supplier. Notify the QC inspector if any goods need to be inspected by him. Maintain the company computer system as instructed. Ensure that any item on the floor is clearly identifiable with the contract and design number. Assist in loading and offloading trucks. Maintain and control of all customer property (used goods) entering and leaving the company premises as per company procedure. Handing over of all received items to the Storeman. Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods. Pulling out of SIVs and marking items correctly with the relevant contract and design numbers. Checking the stock levels against the system stocklist on items on SIVs whenever items are pulled. Ensuring that stock items are correctly placed and monitoring the stock system. Ensure that company Works orders received for the day are handed to the expeditor in a timely manner. Assist with Storeman duties should he not be available. Release: Packing and releasing of small parts. Complete release for packaging inspections as required. General: Familiarise yourself with the Goods Receiving Procedure. Interact with supplier/client in a professional manner. Keep your area of work neat and clean. Assist Works Manager as required / directed by him. Comply to IMS procedures, policies, and specifications otherwise the necessary actions will be taken to address any areas of concern. Where responsibilities are allocated to your position in IMS procedures, ensure that they are adhered to. Comply to general health and safety instructions given to you by company Management. Authorities Rejecting goods not complying to company PO requirements. Packing and releasing of small parts. Qualification, Skills & Competency Grade 12 Skills & Competency Ability to communicate and report effectively. Experience in goods receiving. Experience in use of measuring equipment. Basic Computer literate. Basic math and recording abilities. Knowledge in use of lifting equipment and overhead crane. Knowledge in safe stacking and storage practices. Maintaining accurate and up to date information on goods received / sent to next. Attention to detail. Good physical health. Safety-conscious. Reliable and trustworthy. Organizaitional Skills Time Management
