About the Role

Leruo Group is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our environmental management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and federal environmental laws, conducting inspections and audits, and developing risk assessments. Key Responsibilities

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensuring adherence to local and federal environmental laws, maintaining permits, and preparing regulatory reports.
• Inspections & Audits: Conducting field, site, and facility inspections to monitor environmental impacts (air, water, waste) and identifying hazards.
• Risk Management: Developing risk assessments, SOPs, and environmental management systems (EMS).
• Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing environmental samples or data to evaluate pollutants and recommend remediation solutions.
• Training & Advisory: Advising management on best practices for environmental protection and providing training to staff.

Requirements

• BTech/Degree or higher in Environmental Management Studies
• Professional registration with EAPASA (Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa)
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• ID copy
