About the Role

A leading FMCG company in South Africa is seeking a Finance Officer to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient accounting operations, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Support cost control initiatives and monitor departmental expenses.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, including VAT and corporate reporting standards.
  • Assist with internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies and internal controls.
  • Prepare reports and provide insights to support management decision-making.

Requirements

BCom Accounting / Finance degree or equivalent.

13 years experience in finance or accounting, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing sectors.

Knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting processes.

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
