Job Description

Booking Consultant (Transport & Tourism) A well-established transport and tourism company is seeking an experienced Booking Consultant to join their team in Port Elizabeth. The company specialises in passenger transport services across South Africa and neighbouring countries, including group tours, organised travel experiences, luxury transportation and VIP chauffeur services. This position is ideal for a highly organised and proactive individual with experience in travel bookings, tour coordination and transport operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth travel arrangements, efficient scheduling and excellent service delivery to clients. Key Responsibilities Manage and process travel bookings accurately and efficiently Coordinate logistics for coach and bus transportation services Develop detailed travel itineraries and trip plans for group and tourism packages Schedule and manage driver allocations in line with operational requirements and regulations Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless travel arrangements Respond to booking enquiries and provide professional customer service Resolve booking issues and operational challenges when they arise Maintain accurate records and booking information Stay informed on tourism trends, destinations and relevant regulations Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Booking Consultant or similar role within the tourism or transport industry A National Diploma in Tourism or Business Management will be advantageous Experience coordinating coach or bus transport operations Strong experience in trip planning and itinerary development Experience with driver scheduling and transport logistics Valid Code 8 driver’s licence Proficiency in Microsoft Office and booking systems Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours when required Personal Attributes Strong attention to detail Highly organised and proactive Ability to multitask and manage multiple bookings simultaneously Professional and client-focused approach Passion for travel and tourism What the Company Offers Competitive market-related salary Opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing transport and tourism environment Exposure to diverse travel and tourism projects A supportive and collaborative team environment
