About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Industrial PLC Coder Programmer to join our team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a permanent position, you will be working at our company premises and will have the opportunity to work with various clients on-site. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement programming solutions for industrial PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate PLC code and GUI (Graphic user interface) SCADAs HMI
- Use Siemens TIA Portal v17 -v20 and Siemens Sematic Step 7 for PLC programming
- Perform panel wiring and fault finding skills
- Manage projects from start to finish, including full commissioning of PLCs at clients’ sites
- Develop cross-industrial PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA system development, and IoT innovations
- Troubleshoot and add features to coding and programming projects from scratch
- Optimize PID control loops for process stability
- Design software for a PLC on a laptop (advantage)
- Work overtime when needed due to client deadlines, with overtime pay available
Requirements
- Matric Certificate or relevant Engineering Degree/Diploma (not essential)
- 3-6 years of working experience as an Industrial PLC Coder Programmer (Siemens / OR Omron OR Other)
- Experience in SCADA programming
- Proficient in cross-industrial PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA system development, and IoT innovations
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications not required
Salary & Benefits
- R 27 000 – R 38 500 CTC per Month plus overtime pay (salary package dependent on years, skills acquired, and relevant experience)
- Discretionary Annual Performance Bonus
- Pension Scheme deducted from net salary (not negotiable)
