About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mid to Senior Data Engineer to join their growing data and analytics team, working within the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Build and maintain Azure-based data platforms to support analytics and reporting.
- Work closely with data teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.
- Support data architecture, modelling, and performance optimisation.
Requirements
- BCom Information Systems / Informatics OR BSc Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Software Engineering (Honours advantageous).
- 46 years of experience working within the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, ADLS, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
- Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Solid SQL and data modelling experience.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric advantageous.
- Basic DevOps / CI-CD / deployment understanding beneficial.
