About the Role
Our client is a respected in-house finance provider operating within the asset and vehicle finance space. The business supports sales by offering tailored finance solutions to customers while maintaining strong credit governance and portfolio quality. They are known for being commercially minded but disciplined, meaning deals get done, but not at the expense of good credit judgement. This is a senior management role within the credit function where you’ll have real influence over credit decisions, policies, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve complex commercial credit proposals while balancing profitability and risk.
- Lead and mentor credit and collections teams to maintain strong portfolio quality.
- Develop and implement credit policies, approval frameworks, and risk guidelines.
- Oversee debt recovery strategies and manage escalated or high-risk accounts.
- Monitor credit granting processes and assess customer creditworthiness.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and internal policies.
- Prepare and present management information and reporting.
- Track and improve departmental performance using relevant credit and risk metrics.
