About the Role
The Limpopo Career Consortium is seeking an experienced Surface Logistics Leader to join our team in Burgersfort. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the surface logistics of our mining operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of equipment and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage surface logistics operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve operational goals and objectives
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize Operational and Business Risk Management
- Protect and manage capital assets through effective risk management techniques and critical controls
- Collaborate with the finance, HR, strategic planning, communications, and planned maintenance teams to ensure business understanding and alignment
Requirements
- BSc / BEng / National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Government Certificate of Competency, Mines & Works
- Business Leadership qualification (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification engineering experience with managerial responsibilities
- Open-cast mining, construction, central services, metallurgical processing, environmental, health and safety expertise
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: BSc / BEng / National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Government Certificate of Competency, Mines & Works
