About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team at LRHR Ltd t/a Lotus HR and Recruitment in Somerset West. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our plant, managing ISO and compliance standards, and implementing 5S Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage quality control of work in progress and final goods
- Implement and ensure adherence to ISO and compliance standards within the plant
- Conduct change control management, supplier and materials quality control, and quality document control
- Perform equipment calibration and maintenance
- Develop and implement non-conformance corrective action plans
- Communicate effectively with staff to ensure training and adherence to implemented standards
- Ensure the plant is following 5S Lean Manufacturing principles and achieving customer targets
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Electronics or LC Electrical Engineering field
- 2-3 years experience in quality control of work in progress and final goods
- Experience in change control management, supplier and materials quality control, quality document control, equipment calibration and maintenance
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff
- Knowledge of 5S Lean Manufacturing principals
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.) in Electronics or LC Electrical Engineering field are required.
