About the Role
The New Business Development Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving Kargo National’s growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities. The consultant will develop strong client relationships, understand customer needs, and offer tailored logistics solutions to meet revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation:
- Identify potential clients in target markets through research and networking.
- Develop a robust sales pipeline to achieve set targets.
- Cold call, schedule appointments, and meet with prospective clients to introduce services.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries during the onboarding process.
- Understand client needs to provide customized logistics solutions.
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing and service terms to secure contracts aligned with company objectives.
- Market Analysis:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management on market conditions and customer preferences.
- Reporting and Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Matric Certificate;
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or transport sector;
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
