About the Role
A leading non-profit organisation working in the field of criminal justice and social reintegration invites applications for a Finance Officer position to support financial sustainability, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial reports
- Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and process supplier invoices
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance analyses
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and Department of Social Development (DSD) reporting standards
- Assist with annual audits and maintain accurate financial records and systems
- Manage asset registers, insurance claims, and motor vehicle monitoring
- Conduct internal audits and support internal control processes
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Pastel Evolution
- Advanced Excel skills
- Sound accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
- Understanding of fund accounting and NGO financial management
- Effective communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of relevant financial legislation and policies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
