About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support to drive the sustainability and operational excellence of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial reports
  • Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and process supplier invoices
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including variance analyses
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and Department of Social Development (DSD) reporting standards
  • Assist with annual audits and maintain accurate financial records and systems
  • Manage asset registers, insurance claims, and motor vehicle monitoring
  • Conduct internal audits and support internal control processes

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Pastel Evolution
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Sound accounting and bookkeeping knowledge
  • Understanding of fund accounting and NGO financial management
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of relevant financial legislation and policies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
