About the Role
As an Assistant Fast Food Manager at Net. Talent, you will play a vital role in managing our restaurant according to our established Policies and Procedures. Your primary focus will be on maximizing sales and profitability while ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You will also be responsible for developing and training staff, as well as maintaining excellence in all aspects of your duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the restaurant according to Restaurants Policies and Procedures
- Maximize restaurant sales and profitability by effective deployment of labor, assets, and production costs
- Maintain excellence in the execution of all duties
- Focus on exceeding customer expectations
- Develop and train staff, providing negative and positive reinforcement and recognizing superior performance
- Monitor food, packaging, and labor costs to ensure they are in line with established targets
- Manage restaurant resources (labour, products, supplies, tills, equipment) to meet varying business volumes
- Adhere to cash handling and in-restaurant banking procedures at all times
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks to ensure correct supply levels and monitor discrepancies
- Prepare weekly labor schedules in advance and ensure proper staffing and labor cost alignment with the budget
- Ensure staff recruitment does not conflict with our non-discriminatory policy
- Provide comprehensive induction and training for new staff members and encourage progression through the training program
- Develop staff and implement succession planning to ensure full management of the restaurant
- Follow Policies and Procedures to minimize employee relations issues within the restaurant
- Coordinate, hold, and record monthly staff meetings to discuss various issues affecting the restaurant/team
- Ensure all staff are fully trained in fire procedures, health, safety, and food hygiene practices as well as security and robbery procedures
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly administration accurately according to procedures
- Maintain accurate operating reports and adhere to HACCP standards
- Demonstrate compliance with Safety, Health, and Hygiene standards per statutory regulations
- Carry out Local Store Marketing activities authorized by the Regional Operations Manager
- Monitor local competitor activity and coordinate implementation of in-store promotions
- Monitor operating practices and address any problems identified
Requirements
- Grade 12 / NQF 4
- 3 years Fast Food/Restaurant Manager experience preferably KFC or Pizza Hut
- Creditworthiness (ITC check) and no criminal record
- Micros /GAAP POS 3 years experience
