About the Role
Our Retail client in Maitland is seeking a Financial Administrator to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for assisting the accountant with various finance duties, including preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Accountant and Financial Manager to get books to Trial Balance and Balance sheet working on XERO
- Assist with Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Bank & Cash Management
- General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Assist with Stock & Inventory Support
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales, expense, and cash flow reports
- Support payroll administration where required
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (advantageous)
- 2-4 years experience working on XERO (added advantage)
- Previous experience preferable from the retail industry essential
- Experience with multi-store / multi-branch environments highly advantageous
- Proficiency in accounting software (XERO, Pastel, Sage or similar)
- Strong MS Excel skills
