Hire Resolve is working with a leading innovator in the renewable energy sector to find a Technical Support Manager with a strong electrical engineering background and a passion for solar technology, to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng. Minimum Requirements:

Red Seal Certification (Wiremans license advantageous)
-
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering: BEng / BEngTech / BTech
-
3+ years experience in solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning
-
Proficient in solar design software (preferred)
-
Experience with residential and commercial solar PV systems
-
Hands-on knowledge of inverters, batteries, and remote monitoring software
-
Strong grasp of electrical design principles and solar PV components
-
Skilled in fault finding, troubleshooting, and compliance with local electrical codes

Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for on-site assessments
Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert technical support for solar system design, installation, and performance

Conduct system commissioning, testing, and remote diagnostics

Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in the field and remotely

Assist in the standardization of technical documentation and best practices

Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure quality and compliance

Stay up to date on the latest solar technologies and regulations
