Technical Training Specialist
We are seeking a suitably qualified Technical Training Specialist to join our technical department at our Kempton Park facility. This role reports directly to the Technical Training Supervisor. Candidates who meet the requirements outlined below are encouraged to apply.
Overview & Key Responsibilities
The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for delivering comprehensive technical training to Air Products employees and external customers. This includes conducting training in line with the established curriculum, adhering to Air Products South Africa and Global policies, standards, and the Technical Training process.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering and maintaining curriculum technical training via both paper-based and eLearning systems.
- Conducting classroom and practical training sessions, including assessments.
- Ensuring strict adherence to Technical Training Procedures.
- Providing ongoing technical training support to various business units.
- Updating and maintaining training plans and records, both electronic and paper-based.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and acting as a BSP Champion.
Essential Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
- Formal Technical Engineering qualification.
- Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practises (ODETDP) qualification and relevant experience are desirable.
- Minimum of three years’ experience within the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, or chemical process industries.
- Experience in cryogenic and carbon dioxide (CO2) packed gas cylinder fill operations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in MS Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work undertaken.
- Valid, unendorsed Code EC driving licence.
