Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the stock control department and support warehouse activities.
- Maintain accurate bin allocations, stock locations and system integrity.
- Plan and manage work orders to ensure stock availability aligns with operational needs.
- Conduct cycle counts, sectional counts and stock takes and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate inter-branch transfers (IBTs) and ensure accurate system processing.
- Monitor incoming shipments and back orders and resolve outstanding stock issues.
- Ensure correct SKU allocation and barcode accuracy.
- Oversee safe handling, storage and movement of stock.
- Support warehouse efficiency through timely put-away and shelf replenishment.
- Provide inventory support to sales, marketing and returns teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety and operational standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory and stock control within wholesale, distribution, or warehouse environments
OR
Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a warehouse team. - Experience within the electrical industry will be advantageous.
- Strong systems, reporting and stock management skills.
- Proven leadership and people management ability.
- Strong character, accountability and attention to detail.
