About the role
This role provides hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Source product for customer & stock orders.
  • Administer order acknowledgements & order change (both internal & external).
  • Transactional requirements such as requisitions, purchase orders, delivery dockets, invoices, customer portals.
  • Monitor deliveries in conjunction with supply chain.
  • Expedite improved deliveries where required to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Co-ordinate logistics for completion of delivery/shipping including destination, incoterm and documentation.
  • Meet weekly/fortnightly with designated regional sales support to discuss customer activities and order management.
  • Monitor agreed business metrics (DIFOT, customer satisfaction).
  • Work closely with sales, manufacturing, logistics, planning & commercial.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
  • Matric.
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management ,Logistics Management, Business Administration Commerce (e.g, BCom) or related field.
  • Experience in Customer Order Management on a Global level – essential
  • Working experience in mining-related background preferred, but not essential.
  • Sales support experience in a similar role preferred, but not essential.
  • Salesforce accreditation, preferred, but not essential.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills essential.
  • Shipping knowledge (imports/Exports) – essential.
  • English and Afrikaans language – essential.
