? Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining detailed General Ledger (GL) records and processing journals up to Trial Balance
- Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Book processes
- Processing ad hoc invoices
- Overseeing cash book processes and resolving related queries
- Managing Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and CAPEX processes
- Performing monthly VAT reconciliations
- Preparing daily sales reports
- Conducting financial analysis and providing commentary on variances
- Assisting internal and external auditors with required information
- Preparing budgets for allocated branches
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and finance-related duties
? Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Degree in Accounting
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Syspro (advantageous)
