About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled Cost Controller – Logistics to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the financial performance of logistics operations, ensuring that projects are completed within budget constraints. You will support logistics managers by analyzing financial data and facilitating cost control measures to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cost analysis on logistics operations and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Monitor and report on logistics expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings.
- Collaborate with the logistics and finance teams to create accurate cost forecasts.
- Assist in budget planning and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, providing explanations and recommendations.
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy in the documentation of logistics costs.
- Implement and enhance cost control processes and systems for the logistics department.
- Conduct operational audits to ensure effective cost management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost control, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
