About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sales & Marketing Director to lead our marketing efforts and drive revenue growth for Craven Cottage CC in Franschhoek. The successful candidate will be responsible for refining our positioning within the Western Cape luxury tourism landscape, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving brand consistency across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine positioning of the estate within the Western Cape luxury / tourism / events landscape
- Give strategic guidance into property development
- Align marketing strategy with occupancy and revenue targets
- Define clear customer segments (corporate retreats, tourism operators, high-net-worth guests, etc.)
- Drive brand consistency across digital, print, partnerships, and on-site experience
- Oversee content, campaigns, PR, and brand storytelling
- Build and maintain relationships with: Corporate event agencies I Tour Operators I Luxury travel advisors I Hospitality networks I Strategic local and international partners I Influencers and Lifestyle market
- Proactively pursue new commercial opportunities
- Personally engage in high-level negotiations
- Identify and convert key accounts
- Take responsibility for estate-related revenue growth
- Build sales forecasting models
- Track and manage booking pipeline
- Implement CRM or sales tracking systems if required
- Ensure the brand remains aspirational and distinctive
- Identify new revenue-generating estate experiences
- Develop campaign concepts tied to estate seasons/events
- Oversee visual identity, tone, and guest journey alignment
- Lead internal marketing and reservations resources
- Manage agencies and external suppliers
- Ensure high standards of execution and organisation
- Operate with urgency and accountability
Requirements
Grade 12
A formal qualification
At least 10+ years senior marketing and/or commercial leadership experience
Sales Experience Proven ability to drive revenue growth
Strong hospitality / tourism / estate / luxury brand / wine experience required
A natural relationship builder and dealmaker
Strong manager and leader of people
Ability to build a network
Commercially astute and numbers-driven
Highly organised and execution-focused
Creative thinker with strategic depth
Comfortable being highly visible and client-facing
Energetic, resilient, and performance-oriented
