About the Role
Join a growing, fast-paced organisation within the transport sector as a Financial Manager, where you will play a key role in strengthening and leading the finance function. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic operational environment, contributing to process improvements and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head of Finance in day-to-day finance operations
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Ensuring accurate general ledger processing, reviews, and reconciliations
- Managing cash flow planning and banking processes
- Overseeing debtors, creditors, and revenue reconciliations
- Ensuring SARS compliance and all statutory submissions
- Participating in and managing year-end audit processes
- Implementing and maintaining financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Identifying and driving finance process improvements
- Monitoring operational costs and ensuring accurate cost allocations
- Leading and developing junior finance staff
- Building a high-performance culture within the finance team
Requirements
- BCom Accounting / Finance degree or equivalent
- SAICA AGA, SAIPA, or CIMA (essential)
- 2-3 years’ post-article experience in a commercial/non-audit environment
- Proven experience managing people and finance processes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience in transport, logistics, or operational environments (advantageous)
