About the Role
PBT Group is seeking an experienced Migration Data Analyst to support a large-scale data migration initiative within the investment management environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in analysing, mapping, validating, and reconciling data as part of system migration and transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse source and target data structures to support migration activities
- Perform detailed data mapping between legacy and new systems
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and transformation requirements
- Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation processes
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies between systems
- Perform reconciliation of large datasets to ensure successful migration
- Define and implement data quality checks and controls
- Support root cause analysis for data-related issues
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and project teams
- Translate business requirements into data specifications and mapping logic
- Provide clear communication on data issues, risks, and progress
- Support testing phases including UAT and post-migration validation
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Finance, Data, or a related field
5 years’ experience in data analysis, with strong exposure to data migration projects
Mandatory experience within the investment management / financial services industry
Strong understanding of financial instruments, portfolios, and investment data
