About the Role
The Internal Key Account Manager role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for driving profitable growth of new and existing customers within our Priority Customer base. This key account manager will play a pivotal role in aligning our unique business offer with the needs of customers, while also accelerating South African sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, promote, support, and manage programs and initiatives aimed at accelerating South African sales growth.
- Achieve sales, gross margin, and cash PL commitments (Product and Customer portfolios).
- Develop and execute quarterly sales account plans for each customer within a portfolio in conjunction with internal and external resources.
- Conduct internal and external research to identify customer’s requirements and opportunities to develop future activity plans.
- Develop strategic supplier relationships to support the SA sales strategy.
- Work in conjunction with the SA marketing team to aid in shaping and directing marketing communication.
- Translate customer needs into solutions by applying consultative selling techniques.
- Set up annual sales and margin forecasts in conjunction with management, demonstrating a sound ability to understand and apply data relating to their function.
- Effectively maintain accurate, complete, and timeous records of sales-related customer visits and information, ensuring customer data integrity and protecting data confidentiality.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Relevant commercial and/or technical qualification
- Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification in business or related fields (Mechatronics, IOT, Research, Science, Electronics)
- At least 3 – 5 years successful sales experience ideally within a business-to-business solution selling and account growth environment
- SAP CRM experience would be beneficial
- Familiarity with value-led sales techniques
- Mathematical capability and confidence in financial calculations
- Valid Driver’s License
