About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic/Technician to join our team at REINHARDT TRANSPORT GROUP LTD in Richards Bay. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch maintenance and repair services to our trailers, ensuring they operate at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily services to trailers as per OEM specifications
• Run repairs that come in from time to time
• Attend to breakdowns on trailers when required
• Perform inspection of trailers before/after work
• Conduct quality checks daily (known as 15-minute checks)
• Complete job cards with correct information as per issued instructions
• Maintain a high level of technical serviceability of the trailer section through quality work and preventative maintenance in conjunction with ISO standards
• Prioritize operational requests, recognizing technical deficiencies, and implementing effective solutions in conjunction with the Workshop Manager

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in trailer mechanics/technician field
• Valid welding experience required
• Valid driver’s license (applicants without a valid driver’s license will not be considered)
• Own vehicle required to travel from home to work
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans required
• Reside in the Richards Bay area
