About the Role
We are seeking a Registered/Enrolled Nurse to join our team as an Independent Mobile Nurse in Richards Bay. As an independent mobile nurse, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while earning an additional income. You will be responsible for conducting insurance medicals, preparing written medical reports and questionnaires, and providing on-site services such as finger-prick cholesterol and glucose screenings, HIV testing, BMI calculations, and vision screenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct insurance medicals, including a range of blood tests
- Prepare written medical reports and questionnaires
- Provide on-site services such as:
- Finger-prick cholesterol and glucose screenings
- HIV testing
- BMI calculations
- Vision screenings (Snellen Chart)
- Collect and administer mobile baby vaccinations in collaboration with clients and Dis-Chem
- Conduct home-based care services, including IV administration and wound care
- Provide reporting and recommendations for members aged 65 and above as part of our Homecare service
Requirements
- SANC Registered
- Phlebotomy experience
- Access to a smart device and a car
- Experience in midwifery, paediatrics, and/or baby vaccinations (for mobile baby vaccination services)
- Experience in ICU, trauma, or High care, Renal/Dialysis (for Homecare service)
Qualifications
- Formal education/certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) is not required for this role
Salary & Benefits
- Base rate per completed appointment: R220.50
- Fuel levy per appointment: R12.20 (unless OA rates apply)
- Incentive: 18.44% of total earnings within each billing period
- Hourly Rate for on-site work: R170.00 per hour spent on-site
- NURSE RATE for Homecare service: R350.00 per appointment
Wellness Events (Discovery Vitality & Momentum Multiply)
- Compensation is provided on an hourly basis for on-site work
- Requirements include being SANC Registered and having a clear criminal history
