About the Role
We are seeking a kind, patient, and reliable au pair to join a warm family with two siblings. The primary focus will be supporting an easy-going, curious 6-year-old autistic boy, with occasional care for his 1-year-old sibling.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care for a 6-year-old autistic boy, and occasionally his 1-year-old sibling.
- Foster emotional safety through predictable routines and creative, active engagement.
- Support daily transitions calmly and consistently.
- Prepare light, nutritious meals and assist during mealtimes to encourage healthy eating habits and independence.
- Guide and reinforce consistent potty-training routines with patience and positivity, supporting confidence and self-care skills.
- Design and implement developmental activities including communication exercises, sensory play, and fine/gross motor skill practice in a nurturing environment.
- Manage school pickups and transport to extramurals and appointments.

- No formal qualifications required.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: R150/hour (approx. R9,900/month for 3 hours/day) or R120/hour (approx. R10,560/month for 4 hours/day).
- Petrol for transporting the child reimbursed at AA rates per kilometre (excluding travel from au pair’s home to place of work).
