About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Architectural Glass & Aluminium, based in Krugersdorp. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations across sites and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across sites, and logistics
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Supervise and lead installation teams, workshop staff, and subcontractors
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, technical plans, and specifications
- Implement and optimize operational systems and workflows
- Ensure strict quality control standards are maintained
- Enforce health, safety, and regulatory compliance on all sites
- Troubleshoot operational challenges and make fast, effective decisions
- Report directly to management on performance, timelines, and operational targets
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in operational management (construction, glass & aluminium preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Proven ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
- Solid understanding of production planning and site coordination
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interdepartmental coordination skills
- Hands-on approach with willingness to be involved on-site when required
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building standards
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Must reside in the West Rand
