About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Quality Engineer to join our team at Greys Recruitment. As a quality engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients’ products meet the highest standards of quality. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections and audits, and supporting root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality standards in line with Volvo’s global requirements
- Conduct inspections and audits on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why)
- Collect, analyse, and report on quality data and trends
- Participate in internal and external quality audits
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949 where applicable)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma)
- Liaise with production teams to address quality concerns
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
- Problem-solving follow-ups (QRPS, RNCs, EWOs)
- Audit preparation and action tracking
- Environmental reporting
- Shop-floor quality monitoring
- Digital reporting and system updates (GPS/ePS)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Or related field
- Basic understanding of quality management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA) is advantageous
