Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lodge Anchor to join our team at Bushwise’s exclusive lodge in the Free State. As a key member of our operations team, you will support the Lodge Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, world-class guest experiences
Host guests and manage front-of-house operations
Oversee daily lodge operations across all departments
Support stock control, admin, and operational reporting
Lead, train, and motivate staff to maintain high standards
Assist with budgets, stock management, and cost control
Ensure smooth check-ins, check-outs, and guest transitions
Uphold sustainability and conservation practices

Requirements

3–5 years’ experience in a lodge or hospitality management role
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Experience with lodge systems (PANstrat, ResRequest, Semper, etc.)
Financial understanding and stock control experience
Passion for guest service and attention to detail
Knowledge of conservation/sustainability (advantageous)
Valid driver’s license
Able to work flexible hours in a remote environment

Qualifications
