About the Role
The Warehouse Assistant (General) role at our Distribution Centre requires a team player with basic numeracy and literacy skills, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills. You will be responsible for receiving, distributing, and despatching cartons in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and offload full cartons as instructed
- Ensure cartons are loaded according to order and size specifications
- Adhere to packing standards at all times
- Move pallets to designated locations as required
- Maintain high levels of accuracy
- Keep work areas clean and organised
- Prepare empty cartons for picking lines
- Ensure picking lines remain operational until completion
- Cut, staple, and seal cartons according to specifications
- Check cartons for damage before leaving the picking line
- Handle equipment according to required standards
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Verify carton ID labels against SCS labels for accuracy
- Seal cartons according to required standards
- Move cartons between locations as instructed
- Maintain clean and safe working areas
Requirements
- Grade 10 preferred
- No prior experience required
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Service-oriented mindset

Salary & Benefits
The rate of pay is R30.52 per hour.
