About the Role
As a Reach Truck Operator at Route Management, you will be responsible for safely operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve pallets within the warehouse, while ensuring accurate inventory management and adherence to all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve pallets within the warehouse.
- Loading and unloading of goods from delivery vehicles.
- Ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Moving, locating and stacking of products efficiently within the warehouse.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory, including tracking product movement and storage.
- Adherence to all safety regulations and procedures for reach truck operations and handling of material.
- Daily inspection of reach truck for any malfunctions and reporting of any issues to supervisor/management.
- Verifying load accuracy, including checks for damages or shortages.
Requirements
- Suitable candidates require the following Matric level qualification and skills.
- Valid reach truck operator certificate and license.
- Own reliable transport.
- Willing to work overtime.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a reach truck.
- Ability to work long hours and work under a fast-paced, pressured environment.
- Able to follow and carry out instructions fully.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
