About the Role
You’ll lead a 13-person finance team in a dynamic, collaborative environment within a group structure with multiple legal entities. You will be responsible for strategic ownership of cashflow, treasury, and profitability decisions, as well as real influence at EXCO and senior stakeholder level.
Key Responsibilities
- Handson involvement in system transformation (Accpac -> Sage X3)
- Meaningful involvement across commercial finance, M&A support, and investments
- Leading system and process evolution – pragmatically, not bureaucratically
- Acting as a credible, engaging finance voice at EXCO and boardadjacent level
- Strategic ownership of cashflow, treasury, and profitability decisions
- Financial decisionmaking around cost optimisation and profitability
- Commercial input into M&A activity and growth initiatives
- Engagement with the Reserve Bank and oversight of corporate tax matters
Requirements
- CA(SA) with 5–10 years’ solid commercial experience
- Agile, personable, and influential, not overly rigid or academic
- Comfortable balancing strategy with handson execution
- Engage easily with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively
- Prefer impact over perfection
