About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently searching for a meticulous and reliable Stock Controller for a well-established 5-star boutique hotel and spa in Plettenberg Bay, forming part of a respected boutique hospitality group. This is a hands-on position suited to a detail-driven individual who takes full ownership of stock management across multiple departments and maintains the high operational standards expected within a luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular stock counts across all departments, including food and beverage, housekeeping, spa and maintenance
- Manage stock orders, deliveries and supplier invoices
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved timeously
- Monitor par levels and flag low stock requirements proactively
- Ensure correct storage, rotation and labelling of all stock items
- Assist with month-end stock reporting and reconciliation
- Liaise with departmental heads regarding stock requirements and variances
- Support ongoing cost control initiatives across the property
Requirements
- Minimum 23 years stock control experience within a hotel, lodge or restaurant environment
- Strong numerical ability with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with stock management or POS systems
- Understanding of food and beverage costing and procurement processes
- Ability to work independently and in a structured, methodical manner
- Valid South African drivers licence
- Stable employment history with contactable references
