About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assistant with expertise in electroplating processes and equipment operation for a dynamic foundry environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electroplating lines, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate electroplating baths and related equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Prepare components for plating (cleaning, masking, jigging, and racking)
Monitor plating parameters such as temperature, current, voltage, and chemical levels
Conduct basic chemical additions and maintain bath composition under supervision
Inspect plated components to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications
Record production data, process readings, and quality results accurately
Identify defects or non-conformances and report to the supervisor
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Assist with stock control of chemicals and consumables
Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

Requirements

Basic understanding of electroplating processes and chemicals

Ability to read and interpret job cards, work instructions, and specifications

Knowledge of plating processes (e.g., zinc, nickel, chrome plating)

Understanding of quality control standards and inspection techniques

Basic knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures

Ability to use measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, thickness gauges)

Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Qualifications

N3N6 Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a recognized internal “Eleconop” certification (Red Seal is a plus but not strictly required at this level)
